LEADERS IN TTBAs

Since making the shift to a single product, Parck has made huge strides in helping the industry develop medically sound blood analysis conducted by a machine the size of a microwave oven.  Competition in the industry has fueled technological development to the point that smaller tabletop blood analyzers rival the full-size blood analyzers only found in commercial labs for accuracy in conducting basic tests.  Parck is a strong competitor in the TTBA market space.  Only five companies worldwide have the technology to provide accurate blood analysis in such a small package.

COMPANY HISTORY

Parck Instruments has provided equipment to the medical sector for more than twenty years.  Its founder, Ken Stevens, believed that all those in need deserved medical diagnostic products of the highest quality.  For years Parck provided medical equipment including: centrifuges, micro-centrifuges, microscopes, chromatographs, and calibration services.  Six years ago Parck made a strategic shift and became a single product business in the burgeoning field of tabletop blood analyzers.

DEVELOPING TECHNOLOGY

As was the case in the early days of the industry, technological advancement in the field of tabletop blood analysis has entered a new era.  With the recent acquisition of several TTBA providers by major corporations, the need for improved financial performance is driving technological expansion.  The major performance criteria for TTBAs (e.g., processing time, accuracy, reliability) are being continually improved in an industry that has quickly taken on a “grow or die” sense of urgency.  Coming years are sure to be tumultuous as rivals jokey for position in this ever changing competitive landscape.
